Our Local Hospices
Robert shares his thoughts about our local hospices...."I always say it's the people that make the place...The care that is afforded to their patients and families is second to none. Everybody who is there all want to be there.....everybody helps make their buildings a place of home. When I have personally visited them, to see someone close to me, it feels like you are with old friends who know you and understand what you need and that doesn't stop when we are requested to transfer someone from their care to our care.
The sensitivity and professionalism of the doctors and nurses is heartwarming....doctors even donate their form 4 medical fee to the hospice....hopices rely on the generosity of people to provide everything that someone and their family may need to help them be comfortable on their final journey. That's why Houghtons support them"
